 A tool of Governance or Opinion Maker?

India - where a large chunk of people is stick to the Social Media. Greatest tool of 21st century is not only restricted to Marketing Companies to woo its potential customers but also a great engine of Governance for various Governments in the world.

Regardless of the fact whether the Government or Regime is Totalitarian or Democratic in nature, every head of state is on some or the other Social Media portal and using it to communicate their vision and mission for the people of that very nation.

We have seen a remarkable use of Social Media in India as an e-Governance tool post-2014 when National Democratic Alliance Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi came into power. Main agenda of NDA's election manifesto was to bring Transparency into the system, as India was suffering from lack of transparency since 10 years.

Initially, it was the Ministry of Railways that commenced a spectacular use of Social Media when they started redressing grievance through Twitter and Facebook flawlessly. Soon after that Ministry of Finance actively took people's suggestions on huge indirect taxation overhaul - Goods and Services Tax (GST) through Twitter and Facebook itself and as such now almost every ministry of Central Government as well as the State Governments are now on Social Media not only for announcing new policies but also for grievance redressal mechanism.

As the use of Social Media grew among common citizen of the country we often noticed a propaganda driven use of it too. Some campaigns were for common good of the citizens and some of them were malafide in nature, but in both the cases these agendas or campaigns changed the nature of Social Media as governance tool to the opinion generator or opinion maker. Earlier you used to perform Rallies, public meetings etc. to propagate your intent to others and change their opinion in your way but now you can do all that and much more with one Tweet, one Insta story, one Facebook post while sitting at your home on a comfy chair and sipping freshly brewed coffee.

Recently, we heard news about Cambridge Analytica and how they influenced elections in the United States of America and how they intended to do so further in the upcoming elections of India, Sri Lanka and other countries too. When a news channel exposed the Modus Operandi of Cambridge Analytica, the very heart of the influencing campaign was the data which was harvested from the social media engine Facebook. Every App or Social Media Website have the data of its users from its Location, Gender, Age to its preferences, likes and dislikes.

Once you acquire this kind of data, you can easily design your campaign accordingly to the people's respective characteristics. If you follow someone and someone's policy on social media, they will design strategy and flood you with the information against that person along with the daily dosage of positive information about their client. This can be well quoted as Modern Day Brain-Washing and against the very basic ethics of Social Media.

Now, we are at a point where every political party whether it is The Treasury Bench or Opposition Bench design these kind of campaigns and play with the minds of end-user for their own ultimate benefit. And, the most terrifying thing is people in India often get stuck in this web of mis-information and lose their own discretion.

As a need in contemporary world we need to understand that every information displayed on Social Media is not accurate and can be trusted blindly, we should decide or make opinions about the things after getting in-depth knowledge about that. Also, the government of the day should take stringent action against the false/fake news spread manipulating the people's mind in wrong direction - may be an enactment of act by Parliament can help in achieving the same.

Courage and Fear

Posting after so long and I wish my this article will touch you.

Long back I fell in a love with a girl following which I proposed her and even today I am awaiting her reply. Something that lost in these years is I think the courage. Courage to propose someone, courage to tell someone that I like them and want to spend my whole life with. Courage is what I definitely lost.

I am happy that people of our generation believes in moving on, they don't want to keep stagnated,  but sadly that was not the case with me.

I got very happy news today, because one of my very near and dear friend got into relationship today and I wish her nuptial alliance soon; getting motivated by this news I tried to tell a girl (my colleague in office) that I like her and want to be with her forever now.  Here comes my fear that engulfs me with a thought that by doing this I would be betraying the girl whom I propose long back and can't I wait for her approval.

I took my steps back and haven't said anything to this girl and once again consoled myself that may be she deserves better than me.

All these years just taught me one thing, to respect a human being present in your life. That human being who have the courage to stand beside you in bad times,  lucky are those who get this particular human being early in their life while many other struggle to find one.

Respecting people is Respecting Humanity and is equal to Worship God

Hello Friends,

I am back after so long with a new article and what an auspicious day it is for a come back.
Whenever I remember Kargil, I just remember one song from the movie LOC-Kargil:

"Kandho se milte hai Kandhe, Kadmo se Kadam milte hai 

  Hum Chalte hai jab aise to Dil Dushman ke hilte hai"

This song generates a sense of patriotism in me and I am sure of every Indian but this song has a deep meaning which we Indians in today's world either failed to realize or don't want to realize. I was watching a video of an Army Commando, he says who is a enemy for a soldier, he says during a war when our soldier shoots towards the enemy its not because of hatred towards what is in front of him but to protect what is behind him. Soldiers on the front don't even know whom they are shooting, both sides doing the work assigned by their countries and to protect the fellow citizens.

So who is the enemy? It lies deep inside all of us, this enemy can be called by various names like Discrimination, Superiority, Corruption, Jealousy, Arrogance and so on, we have to learn a lot from our soldiers that if they possess only one of these things then our National Security will be in Danger.

In Indian Defense Forces there is no Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Jaat, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Bihari, Tamilian, Bengali, Rajput, Gujjar etc. as they fight as one single unit, there is no superiority or inferiority when they are in line of duty, only leadership prevails not superiority, if armed forces gets corrupt then there will no Nation left, where will be the jealousy when all the soldiers are equally hungry to do their duty towards the nation, and lastly when you achieve something arrogance vanishes and maturity comes in and that's what our Armed forces has, Maturity towards Nation, Citizens and their fellow soldiers.

But lets come inside from the Border, we the people of India are caught by all these above mentioned illness. We are divided by every name which we can be divided. We are negligent, negligent towards nature, towards our fellows and hilariously to ourselves too. We are corrupt, corruption is not looting of money or material but it is in the brain, corruption is passing obscene comments to the other gender or mis-behaving with them, corruption is not following rules, corruption is not paying taxes, corruption is not participating in nation building activities, corruption is being violent on a petty issues, in short corruption is everything that harms the nation at large. We are arrogant of what we have, we often flaunt even if we achieve a little in our life, please don't forget few people due to whom we have achieved; first is our parents who made us capable enough to achieve anything, second the soldier on the border who keeps the environment safe and sound for us to do good in our life and third the Farmer who himself might sleep without food but provides food to fill our stomach and even then all of them are not arrogant then how can we become arrogant?

Kargil Vijay Diwas is not only to celebrate victory over Pakistan or to lay wreath on Amar Jawan Jyoti but it is beyond that, it is the way of life which our martyred soldiers told us. It is to consider Humans as Humans without any discrimination or filtration. 

Today I read a story of a girl, a daughter, a writer who lost her father during Operation Vijay in Kargil, her father was Major in Indian Army and Artillery Gunner whose role is to provide cover and secure passage to the Infantry. Her sorrow was that her father didn't got the recognition as others got, we know the names of many martyrs from Kargil but her father's name was never taken, she wrote this article last year on 26th July I guess. From her article I can sense a grief for which all the citizens of India are responsible, the day her martyred, Nation and Army got one more hero but she lost her father forever who was a great leader as mentioned in her article. Through this article I would just want to say sorry to her and Sons/Daughters like her for not recognizing the valiant efforts of their Fathers who laid their lives for one single motto that is

"JEEVAN PARYANT KARTAVYA"

I found out one interesting thing in her article that she mentioned couple of times, that her Father apart from being a soldier was a complete Family Man and a Romantic person who just never let problems on border affect his family. She wrote:

" I still fails to understand how he sounded so carefree in his letters amidst all that chaos during the Kargil War. I remember him calling us from Satellite phone and talking about the bad weather in the background. I am yet to come across a selfless Man as him. The day I find him, I'll Marry him."

She also wrote, that as Kargil war was unexpected so she along with her mother and sister went to see her father but only got 12 hrs. with him and that was last 12 hrs. they spend with him, if she knew that it will be last few hrs. she would have utilized each bit of it. This is heart wrenching but has a deep lesson for all of us to Respect every moment of life, because you don't know which moment could be the last moment, spend it wisely, life is too short for estrangement, value all people around some may be nice some may be bad but everyone will teach us about life in their own respective way, like her father induced many qualities due to which she is able to get all the success till now, that is Empathy, Selflessness, Leadership, Calmness (especially in adversities) and most importantly the Respect of Human Life. 

Ma'am I respect you for writing your thoughts and sharing a story of not only a Brave son of Motherland but also a Great father. I wish that you read this article and I hope that I did justice with the words and feeling of your article in my own gesture. 

At last while wrapping up I would just like to say, Nation's service is not only done on borders, a Mother feeding her child is doing a National Service, a Father religiously doing his work and fulfilling all his responsibilities is doing a National Service, a Truck Driver due to whom we can have our food and other basic amenities is doing a National Service, a Lover (Boy/Girl) who accepts the rejection in his/her love life maturely is doing a National Service, an Entrepreneur who is working to make others' life easy and convenient is doing a National Service, a Youth miles away from his/her land researching for the future growth of his/her motherland is doing a National Service and there are many more examples of the same. 

Respect who Martyred for us by not taking but giving this beautiful Nation everything that we have.

Relationship*

Good Afternoon Guys,

Sorry for not posting last week but today's post will surely makeup for the last week. Today's topic is a bit off beat and based on my life story itself. You can see * sign at the end of Relationship above, this sign refers to the Terms and Conditions we generally apply in our relationship, that was applied in my relationship.

P.S. Terms and Conditions doesn't mean that we wont't do anything till our marriage, that is morality which can depend upon time, at certain point it may be right at the other it may be wrong.

So, by terms and condition I mean to say that restrictions imposed in relationship when you don't know its future which is so common in India, two opposite sexes come in vicinity of each other but are not sure about their relationship, same happened to me back in year 2011 when I come closer to a girl, but when I told her my feelings about her she told me that she can't love me because our castes are different but also don't want to lose me. I decided to hang on in a hope that at some point of time I would generate love for me in her heart, I was too optimistic and gave her my everything whether it be my love, my care, my time, my attention everything. But even after 4 years I failed brutally to generate love for me in her heart. They say, that to make someone love you only one reason is sufficient, may be I couldn't provide her that one reason to love me and she left me, that is completely my fault and not hers.

Readers, I am not writing this post to make you read my sad love story but for a reason and reason is that use your heart while moving in a relationship because it demands commitment, brain is used to crack deals not relationship and a deal can be break down easily but a relationship not. If you are not sure that start distancing yourself earlier only and if you can't do that then give your 100% effort to sustain despite the factor of Caste, Religion or anything, In India Law provides safeguard to your rights if you are right therefore don't worry if you are right at yours place.

The thing happened to me, is happening in every nook and corner of the country where youngsters are either killing themselves or killing their desire to love someone (desire should be meaningful and not arbitrary) due to caste-ism or communal-ism. I am not provoking you to fight with your families, just try to make them understand properly, as soon as they realize that they were wrong and you are right at your place they themself will understand your point, and not even understand but also will help in your decision.

The years 2011-15 changed me completely, I used to cook, I used to sing, I used to write, I did everything I loved because I was in love which was a daydream that could not be true ever. After her my interest in cooking, singing and writing vanished and a state of mental illness occupied me, a state of mind which generally termed as suicidal stage or suicidal tendencies, a state which required mental and psychiatric counselling to be cured. By god's grace I came out of that state shortly due to psychiatric counselling, and due to a reason which I will list later in this post. But there are many boys and girls of my age in India itself who suicides due to lack of these counselling, rather we have highest rates of suicides in world; reason being expectations, breaking down of commitment and last but most important loss of hope, my message for such kids or youngsters is that there is a light of hope at the end of the tunnel every time you just need to keep your eyes open to see it.

In my last proper conversation with the girl I loved we both said, "This has to happen", they say every love story can have Happy Ending if ended on correct time, we elongated our relation too long or I must say I took this relation too long if I have ended this on time things would have been different. So, readers please be sure of your relations, your commitments, your responsibilities and take correct measures at correct time so as to avoid suicidal situations.

I would also like to say that I loved her and I still do, I can say this as even after all this happened to me, I still respect from deep core of my heart as I was not perfect in the relation, I did many deadly mistakes therefore I have no right to be angry at her or abuse her or harm her, because when you love someone you don't try to harm them as you want them to be happy forever with or without you. Just understand this point guys Love means Happiness not Scars, scars leave their impression for life either on body or on heart and soul so if you want to leave an impression leave a good impression. So what I couldn't gift her a part of my first salary or couldn't take her to 5 star hotel for a dinner together or couldn't take her to long romantic drive, she will get all this even without me and I am happy with that because with Love comes no clause of Terms and Conditions.

Well, at last I would like to tell that not everything bad happened to me after I lost her as I got few people due to her:
1. Her Roommate, my best friend, intelligent, valiant, simple and gorgeous girl; who provided me courage time to time to fight adverse situations and I respect her to help me out of the situation.
2. Her best friend, a blogger, a chemical engineer, intelligent, dance freak girl: who taught me what is love and what is its true essence, and if I today can write this article then its because of her only, I pray for her awesome future.
3. Her little sister, whom I consider as my younger sister, I love her because her face gives me hope, a light at the end of the tunnel, and when I see her I forget all my worries of life and just start thinking positively, last year she tied me Rakhi and allowed me to have proud brotherhood.

Along with this, every bad time has a good thing that it won't last for ever, my bad time ended when I moved to Delhi for preparations where I got remarkable people like a Crazy-lady who cares for me like a mother do, a chubby sardarji who loves me like a younger brother, a ladoo who shows her love like an elder sister, a heartbeat who always have time to talk to me and few crazy and nerdy roommates who just wants me to be happy. This post is dedicated to all of them.

I hope I was able to make you understand the importance of love, lastly would just say that in this mean and cruel world try to put smile on at-least one face with your love and Spread Love Not Scars.

Drought- Situation or Carelessness

Good Evening Guys,

Here is Tuesday and here I am among you with my new blog post. 

While I am writing this blog post various states of India be it Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha or Karnataka facing worst drought of times and even in 21st century we seem to be helpless in facing these conditions although I applaud the efforts of Indian Railways and Govt. of Maharashtra for sending water trains to worst hit areas of Maharashtra like Latur and Beed, this is government's initiatives which they are doing at macro level. But what we are doing at individual level; trolling Arvind Kejriwal, Pankaja Munde, Siddharamaiah etc.
Forget politicians, nation is built by its citizens not by its politicians this is the one thing which every individual of this country have to keep in their brain. What we can do lets discuss it, I can discuss because I am doing this since I started watching situation in various due to droughts.

SAVE WATER, but how?

1. While bathing avoid showers and use bucket and use only that amount of water which is just required to cleanse body and keep the water for reuse if you can.

2. You can reuse this water to water plants, wash your automobiles; also when you water plants and wash automobiles use buckets instead of pipes so that only optimum amount of water shall be used and not get wasted.

3. We often see water getting wasted from the outlet of Air Conditioners and RO's, you just have to do is keep a bucket beneath that outlet so that you can reuse it for various purpose like you can make it distilled water optimal for the use in Inverter Batteries.

4. These summers are scorching for birds too, I saw various houses near my locality who didn't kept water bowl outside for birds and then I saw my mother who was filling that bowl for birds in house, I felt happy that at least she is obeying her responsibility towards nature. Guys please follow this Birds needs water as we do and even our Prime Minister appealed us to do so.

5. Lets make it habbit, give your sisters and brothers plant saplings on their birthdays, anniversaries etc. as a gift and ask them to plant it, some trees are better than no trees, more trees will certainly help in bringing rain.
Along with this purchase and gift atleast one cloth of Khadi as I did when I gifted a beautiful Khadi Kurta to one of my loving younger sister as her birthday gift, this might not look big but it is big as your purchase will empower people in village for alternate work in drought times to run a decent livelihood even in adversities.

6. Raise voice when you see any kind of water wastage and guide them to conserve water.

At last I would like to say that Farmer/Kisan is a lifeline of the country make them Entrepreneurs and not Helpless and only you can do that because in a country of 1.3 billion the only majority is us the citizens of country and not any politicians, no donations will help them only your positive and real steps will help them. I hope you will kindly note these points and will apply to HELP our Annadaatas - The Farmers  in this moment of Drought.

IPL- Ek India Happy Wala!

Good Evening Guys,

Sorry for no post last Tuesday but I will try to make the day with my today's blog post. 

This is IPL season, people from the states whose teams are playing in IPL are excited about the matches whereas people like me are excited to see Vivo IPL advertisements: An advertisement where one news Anchor says "Desh ki Sacchai sirf uski Burai me nahi hai" (means Nation's truth is not only in its defamation), such a true words something that today's news anchors seems to forgot, this is reason why TRP of DD NEWS/LSTV/RSTV are getting up because nation wants Meaningful News and not politically motivated biased news'. Things which Indian News Channels can learn from these adverts because don't be so politically influenced so that it effects your efficiency only and you start watching things in One colour only. 

Other advert that caught my mind was when 4 guys board a cab with a woman driver, they realize that woman is frightened due to them and chose to go home by a route which is safe for the lady, this put the question mark on so called MEN in society who disrespect women, tease them and harm them. I think there is a potential criminal in all of us but what save us from being potential criminal to a gentlemen is our values, ethics or what we say "Sanskar", Sanskar is not offering prayer to god or going to Temple/Church/Mosque, it is to value, respect god's each and every creation among which women are one, and its not about respect too, I often say that women are very aggressive/furious towards Men which results in False Rape cases/False Divorce Cases but it is due to us the Men in society who completely failed numerous times to made the other gender realize that we are their friends/amigos/pals and won't harm them ever rather will protect them from all evils and in return ask them a favour to run this world in a better way together.

"Two different ads, two different perspectives, two different lessons one for those biased people who only wants to sell lies/biased investigations/defamation of govt. and the latter one for those men rather all men in society to make realize one women around them that you are their friend and won't harm them what so ever happen"

P.S. IPL organizers' BCCI must realize about the situation of Marathwada, Vidharba and Telangana and save water to make people of these regions happy too.
